SHYLA TURNS ONE!
Shyla is officially ONE and this past weekend we threw her a beautiful bohemian style birthday party in our newly revamped backyard and it was a hit! To top it all off we even ended the night with a movie on our outdoor projector! Here are some of my favorite pictures of the day and how we brought it all together! 🙂
You’d be surprised to know that we saved SOOO much money decorating this party because I stocked up on most stuff from the GOODWILL!! I knew that I wanted to have a low sit down style table with pillows for the kids to sit on so I went on one of GOODWILL’s 50% off everything Saturday and picked coordinating pillows according to the color scheme I wanted to stick with.
I found POTTERY BARN, Crate and Barrel, and cute Target pillows that would have cost me at least $50 a pop for nearly $3 a pillow! It’s amazing what you can find thrifted if you just take the time to look.
For the pallets, they are building a brand new High School right near our home and so they had tons lying around and we just asked to have them haha. We made sure to wash them off good and then stacked them for some height (we used six total which seated about 10). The kids absolutely loved it and so did the adults!

We made an investment in our outdoor projector screen and projector that we just picked up at Walmart. And for $70 for the projector, I’m really amazed at the quality it produced! I’ll link them below for reference but we only paid about $140 for both which I think is going to bring us some super fun summer nights 🙂
How in the WORLD my third baby is ONE already is beyond me! And after three kids, I can definitely say I feel like this year went by the fastest. Seems like just yesterday I was writing your monthly updates:
