a little bit about my goal for this blog:

Hey there. I’m AnnMarie, but usually go by AM Woods. I’m the voice behind this blog and I’m thrilled to have you here!

As a child, I remember being drawn to the logos and packaging of products and how they made me feel. The same went for my love of home decor and design.

I loved taking note of the design and layout of my friends’ homes when I would visit. All the little details from the hinges, and the ceiling design would bring on a sense of comfort if done right. My mother was big on a decorated home for all seasons which in turn made me love the way a home would feel as it changed throughout the year.

I’m an obsessive decorator and a type-A perfectionist. What keeps me passionate here is my hope to help make your home the place you crave to be! To help get your life a little more organized and a whole lot prettier with design ideas through DIY, budget-friendly tips and tricks, and healthy lifestyle options from easy dinner ideas for busy families, to parenting advice that makes your home a stress-free, happier space.

Fun Facts About Me:

I hail from a farm in the middle of nowhere, aka southern rural Minnesota. You could say I’ve traded cornfields for color swatches and couldn’t be happier!
I’m the oldest of four siblings. It’s my ‘noble duty’ to lead this quirky pack of brothers, and by ‘lead,’ I mean occasionally outwit.”
Believe it or not, I’ve got three degrees hanging on my wall. Apparently, they don’t make great wall art. Turns out, following my passion for home decor, art, and design was a better life plan. Lesson for you kiddos: Do what you love, even if it doesn’t come with a step-by-step manual!
To unwind, I tickle the ivories of a piano. It’s my secret superpower, though my audience is mostly houseplants and my very unamused cat.
I’ve got three little girls who’ve turned my life into a whirlwind of princess dresses and bedtime stories. Being their mom is the greatest gift, even if they think ‘decorating’ means adding glitter to everything!
