Another Year Older, Another Year Wiser
We just got back from our trip to Cali and it was amazing but oh so short. We arrived in Cali on Tuesday and spent the night in San Diego where we were able to watch Freddy graduate from Marine Corps Recruiting School. This marks the end of our nearly one year separation from the military to being able to live together as a family here in AZ were he will be stationed! I cannot explain my excitement for being able to not do all the dishes nor take out the trash anymore! LOL. Just Kidding (but not really). After his graduation we drove up to Orange County and stayed on base at San Onfre State Beach in a little beach house we rented to celebrate my birthday. I am officially 29 and really can’t believe next year I will be the big 3-0! Our stay was short and sweet but so needed to be able to spend time on the beach with the girls as it is absolutely one of their favorite things to do…and mine. I don’t want to say that it marks the end of our ties in California because I don’t want it to be true. After living there for nearly three years prior to moving back to AZ it truly was my dream place to live. We made so many wonderful memories in our tiny lil apartment, on the beach, meet new friends, and all the cute places we visited. We had both Shaelyn and Siena there and I will really miss all of our weekly rituals such as our Thursday night farmers market hangs, and our weekly weekend beach hangouts all day.
I’m not sure how often we will be able to go back to visit now but I’m hoping it won’t be to long in-between. Freddy officially has 30 days of leave with us at home now and we plan on doing a few DIY home projects, sight seeing around AZ a bit, and just learning to live together all over again, haha. Â
