Shae Turns Four
Late on posting as always, 😛 but we celebrated Shae’s fourth birthday last week and I’m still wondering where that tiny baby that used to squeal for everything with excitement went. (Crying) Time is such a gift and also very fleeting. This is especially so the older we get.Â
We ended up taking her to Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale which she begged for ALLL week! But as soon as we got there she freaked! Literally she had a full on meltdown if they got anywhere near her and we just couldn’t believe it HAHA. So we took her home, baked her a cake, and got her a game at the store and her papa sent her her first new bike so that’s been the best thing since sliced bread to her!
I’ll never forget the day they laid Shaelyn in my arms after I delivered her…I was in absolute shock and even said, “I can’t believe this is real!” Because all the emotions that run through you as you become a first time parent is just unfathomable! I was scared, but happy…exhausted, but suddenly more awake then I’d ever been before! The gift of being able to watch her grow into the little girl she is now is something I’ll never take for granted. And she has truly blossomed from that little baby who would cry all night looonng, to an amazing little girl.
Some of Shaelyn’s Milestones this Year:
- She Continues to Do Very Well in Preschool! and Loves to Ride the Bus
- She is an amazing big sister! Siena will say “sissy help!” and Shae will run to her and say, “you need help? ok…” and help her put on her shoes or take of her shirt etc. it melts me!
- Absolutely loves her Shyla and thinks her name is Peanut Butter because that’s what I’ve nicknamed her 😀 LOL you can hear Shae throughout the day saying, “oh careful peanut,” or “sit down peanut, ya gotta be careful”
- She is a PERFECTIONIST….if she can’t figure out how to put her clothes on right, tie her shoes right, or put something together she really has a minor meltdown! But with that comes her trait for being big people pleaser! If you ask her to throw a diaper away, help you get something, or put something away she’s on it and gets so excited when you tell her, “Good Job! Thank you!”
- Can count to 20
- LOVVVESSS to sing! She sings better than she talks!
- We put her in Cheerleading and Tumbling this year and she loves it soo much!
- Sleeps through the night but likes to sneak in mom and dads bed from time to time…and always ends up on Daddy’s side because she is still the ULTIMATE, daddy’s girl 🙂
We love you soo much Shae Shae :-*
xoxo
