January Updates

Just wanted to do a quick “January Updates” post to document this months activities. I don’t know about for you, but January seemed to go by in the blink of an eye and so I thought I better write down a few things that went on.

So far this month I have successfully blogged NINE times and plan to do one last post tomorrow! This is a new record for me as I REALLY wanted to buckle down and cater to my creative side a little more and now I get excited to come up with new ideas to blog and has actually been so rewarding in the creativity department 🙂
We traveled to Sedona, Superior, and a lot of trips to Florence this month. These pics were from Superior this last weekend and I am really trying to travel around a little more next month especially since we have some family visiting from out of town. Freddy is originally from Superior so his grandparents still live there and he absolutely loves to visit and show us all about the things he did there growing up.

I have been getting so much more organized around the house and have been going through at least one room/drawer a day and cleaning/decluttering it and it is starting to feel sooo much better around here. Less clutter = less anxiety for me. PLUS, I’m really on a minimalism kick and it actually feels like a huge weight is lifted off your shoulders when you get rid of things you never use!
Shae started school on the 9th and has been doing so good there! She actually loves it. Even riding the bus! She cried the first day she had to ride it and now can’t wait to get on it and say hello to the “busss diverrr” 😀 It feels so good seeing her start to excel and become an independent little person.
Siena still loves to say “Nooo,” to just about everything, haha. “Do you wanna eat?” “no,” “Give me a kissy,” “no,” “Do you love me,” “no,” “Do you like daddy,” “noo.” Lol, it is actually kind of funny because we know she can’t quite understand what she is saying “nooo” too. Hopefully we will start breaking the ‘no’ habit soon though. She can also say, “pleasssee, ma-ma, da-da, uh nooo, uh oooh, go bye bye, and sissy.”

Baby girl number 3 is quite the active one but as soon as someone touches my belly to feel she completely stops moving! Little trickster in there already.
We battled and conquered the flu! It was absolutely awful and I sure hope that we don’t catch a different strain since there seem to be so many 🙁 I don’t leave the house without my Wet Ones and whip down every cart/basket that I encounter now, haha. Followed by hand sanitizer (this ones my favorite) for everyone in the car after we go out somewhere.
Freddy and I celebrated our fourth year of marriage on the 18th but since I was so sick we haven’t been able to celebrate it yet. All I want to do is go to a movie and dinner as I seriously haven’t been to a movie in FOREVER (probably half a year) and I miss just getting all dolled up for a “date night” as it’s seriously been ages.

So far this month the only goal that I wanted to achieve that I didn’t was to potty train Shae. Every time we try something would come up or we would have to leave the house. I really was hoping there was a better way to do it than the whole “don’t leave the house for two to three days method” but it’s beginning to look like that’s the only way we are going to get it done. Any tips on this one will gladly be accepted!
ADOBE PREMIER YouTube videos everyyyday! I really wanna learn to make better videos which is why I haven’t posted one of the girls recently. I’m craving a more cinemagraphic look and teaching myself how to use Adobe Premier has been somewhat time consuming but sooo much fun! So I can’t wait to share some of the video ideas I have written down ready to film 🙂
Next month I have a few fun posts coming up that I have been working on including our nursery room plans, a hair tutorial, and my everyday makeup routine so I can’t wait to share!
