Don’t Be Mean
An important message I think we should all remember on a daily basis to teach our kids…”Don’t be mean.” Sure we throw out your typical “say hello, say please and thank you” comments to them, but to actually teach your child to not be mean to another one and SHOWING them by example is a whole different thing. Teach them to hold open doors for strangers, smile at people when they pass them by, respect their elders, reframe from foul language, and to try to see the good in others before jumping to judgements. Times are changing of course from what they were when we were younger so it’s important to note of these changes whether it be through increased social media exposure to the rise of school bullying and apply these mannerisms in a relative manner.Â
We are the greatest influence’s in our children’s lives and remembering that what they see from us, they will replicate to the world around them, is an important reminder for us all! So in the word’s of Ellen #bekindtooneanother
These shirts were gifted to us by @bellasimonenyc and can be purchased at BellaSimoneNyc.com We love supporting companies that bring forth positive affirmations and meanings at a young age! Check them out to get your hands on one and start spreading the message to all who see them! :)) Wish I had a quarter for every time someone stops us and says they love these shirts when they wear them out and about! 😀
XOXO
This is so beautiful … and it definitely resonates with the message we, fellow parents, are trying to teach our own kids. Your girls are PERFECT! Thanks for sharing! xoxo Rox & the Bella Simone Team
