A Wedding Weekend in Sedona
One of my close friends that I met at work nearly six years ago celebrated her wedding this past weekend and asked that I be a bridesmaid. So, the baby and I took the seven-hour drive up to Sedona and stayed at The Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort with Diamond Resorts and Hotels. Freddie couldn’t attend as he has been training for the past few weeks for his upcoming deployment. Sedona holds special memories for me as well as it is where my husband took me for our honeymoon.
The weather was perfect with highs of only 75 and a little bit of rain. My cousins from Phoenix came up and helped watched Shae as I attended all wedding activities. We were able to explore downtown and managed to take some beautiful photos. I highly recommend the Diamond Resorts if anyone is ever looking for an excellent place to stay in Sedona. Twice now I’ve stayed with them and enjoyed it so much.
If you’ve never traveled up to Sedona and plan to, just a few quick places I really recommend checking out are:
Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village – a fun shopping center of specialty shops and galleries in a stunning Old Mexican style architecture.
Son-Silver-West Galleries – an enormous antique store with beautiful handcrafted and one of a kind piece’s, there is so much to see here, and if you love antiques like me you’ll be there for hours!
The Hummingbird House –  this shop is so neat, it has unique and handmade home décor items, handbags, furniture, garden accessories, as well as re-purposed items and antiques.
The Art of Wine – I couldn’t list my favorite places without mentioning one of Sedona’s wine spots. There are a few wineries in Sedona, but this place showcases over 25 different Arizona wineries. It’s truly a quaint and relaxing little spot.
