1st Road Trip Of The Year – Sedona

One of our goals this year was to take as many mini road trips as we could before baby girl arrives. Even if that meant having to leave Freddy behind sometimes I am determined to travel a bit. Not because I don’t want him there, but because I’m pretty sure once we have three kids it’s gonna be a bit challenging for us for awhile to learn how to wrangle three lil ones on a road trip.

PLUS, I really really, REALLY, am having a hard time parting with our Subaru Outback 🙁 We love this car sooo much! It seriously gets the BEST gas mileage and is the ultimate road trip vehicle for smaller families. We know that Subaru will be coming out with an all new 3-row Subaru called the Ascent, but for our price range at this point in our lives, we just don’t think it will make sense to have such a large car payment. So, I sit and ponder how I can get Subaru’s attention to sponsor us, LOL jk (but not really).

The weather was perfect at a beautiful 70 degrees with the slightest breeze. The sky was blue as could be with powdered clouds, and the air just seems to smell so fresh up there. Being that it’s only a 2.5 hr drive from our house we really should go up there more just to feel the energy that is eluded from this truly captivating place. If you ever get the chance to go and explore it, these are my favorite spots I go to nearly every time:

The Desert Flour Bakery & Bistro
-a must stop for us for morning coffee and breakfast.
Earthbound Trading Co.

– a lifestyle shop with beautiful home décor pieces, clothing, crystals and more.

Bell Rock Trail
– one of the many vortex and hiking trail sites in Sedona. This one is nice for those with kids.
Hummingbird House
– collectables and antiques!

Also, real proud of myself for hiking a mountain with two kids (with the help of my cousin) and a 24 week baby bump! 😀
